ASATRON

Yesterday I played with No Jive, without Lina this time. She just had a baby and I’m so happy for her. Hasse and I had to rearrange some of the choirs, a bit empty but ok. I fixed the perfect guitar sound again… We’re going to play at a big party in august and the host wants some old hits so we tried to play some Chuck Berry, Beatles and Elvis songs. No problems and a lot of fun. We’re also going to entertain in the garden before the party. That’ll be an acoustic performance with typical Swedish summer music like Taube. That’s different from our usual genres and will be a new experience. I like that!

For nine months I’ve been dressed in black. Now it’s 20 degrees and sunny so it’s time to change to  the white  outfits.

Watching Eurovision song contest and remember the year one of my songs qualified to the top 100 list (among 3000 songs). I grew up with this competition and as a child I recorded the Tv shows on my tape recorder and the rest of the family had to be absolutely quiet… I still like to watch the shows.

This year I love Albania.

I don’t send any music to this event anymore, it’s impossible for an unknown songwriter to place a song in the Swedish competition, but my dream’s still to enter that stage…

I have a folder in my computer with abut 20 songs marked e.s.c.

maybe I’ll release them some day…

As a teacher I work 45 hours a week. That’s not enough. In the past 1 1/2 month i worked 65 hours overtime… Tests to assess, results to report and information about every student’s skills in every subject (13 x 25) to write.  1150 pages written. I also uploaded the examine report for my own studies i Chemistry. 20 pages. And I wrote an application for a price, describing how I work with mathematics and YouTube and won!  Now my problem is deciding what to do with the money… But that’s the kind of problems I like. Maybe I’ll upgrade my studio… A new computer maybe… or a trip to New York? Something nice to think about in busy times.

I haven’t been here for a while.

I work very hard and there’s not much time left for anything else.

In spite of that I started to record a new song. Acoustic guitars and whistle…

A simple song, but the simple is sometimes the hardest…

It’s called “Go” and here’s a little taste in the middle of the process…

Recording a beautiful song I made a couple of years ago.

 I made it when I was a part of Strangers in Wonderland and we did a recording of it as well. We never published it and we didn’t put it on the album. That’s a pity I think because I love both the melody and the lyrics… The choirs are the most difficult parts I ever recorded. I arranged them in my car driving to a photo session. In the south tunnel I almost crashed into the wall because I was so concentrated on the different voices in the choirs… The recordings are almost done and I’ll do my best with the mixing part…

What is it about?

It depends… Here I suggest three different scenarios:

1. 1.       A woman close to a nervous breakdown. Too many things to do and no time to do it. The stress causes a state of hysteria and the woman tries her best to keep control…
2. 2.       A woman’s desperate and need a man right now. He’s there and she crosses the limits of what’s acceptable to get him.
3. 3.       A princess dresses up like a knight to fight for justice. She raises her sword and rides with the kings towards the battlefield…

These are just three stories. You can choose one of them or make up your own… You’re free to read the lyrics as you like. I left the door open…

And I think that hysteria can be the wisdom…

Welcome!

Had some problems with the artwork… The first idea was a picture of a flag with Asatron theme. Then I wanted a knight riding in full speed towards nothing… tried the ideas but wasn’t satisfied. So I chosed the picture with me and the guitar. The thought was to show that ddesperation and hysteria can’t be seen on the outside… like the silence befire the storm… Here’s one of the other pictures.
