Yesterday I and the ladies were invited to a musicians party.

People from different bands got together and played together.

We played three songs and after that it was jam.

The musicians put their names in glasses marked with instruments. The names picked up went on stage and a song was picked from another glass. Then the “band” performed the song. It was a lot of fun and some bands was really great.

It was an awesome night and I had so much fun.

Today Lokalbefolkningen met for rehearsals. Heavy and tight as always.

Is it possible to get vacation from myself…?

I’m not so easy to live with right now. My head is full of ideas and I never rest. Not that I’m stressed or under pressure, I don’t feel depressed, just tired. I like all the ideas and I like what I do but life is very intensely. I’m satisfied with my life and myself, I don’t want to change anything, I just need to rest.. I don’t know how… except from sleeping. Sometimes it feels like my brain is burning. Slow down, sloow doown, s s l l o o o o o w w w  d d o o o o w w w w n n n n z z z z z z z

Yesterday the ladies in Krakel Zpektakel surprised me with dinner. They took me to a restaurant, owned by a blind man in Stockholm called Svartklubben. It was a very special experience. The food was served i total darkness. I mean total! At first I felt panic. I was scary not to see a thing but after a while I got used to it and found it really nice. I think I learned rather quickly to find the wineglass and to locate the food on the plate. I strongly recomend this place, not only for the darkness, the food was fantastic! Today I took a break from the studies to play with Lokalbefolkningen and tomorrow with Krakel Zpektakel. That means I have to read faster…

Time flies…

It was a long time ago but it feels like yesterday I was proud of that hair…

A week has 168 hours. I sleep 49 of them. 119 left.I work 50 hours, 69 left.I study 25, 44 hours left.I cook and eat 14, 30 left.I shower, fix hair and makeup, etc. 7 hours, 23 left.Driving 5 hours, 18 left.Shopping 5 hours, 13 left.Cleaning, washing etc. 5 hours, 8 left.Phone calls, chat and mail, 3 hours, 5 left.Reading books and papers, watching TV,  3 hours, 2 hours left.Spend time with friends and family, 2 hours, 0 left…Creating music…..?

Sometimes I spend a couple of minutes writing…  I try to save time  combining things.  reading and eating, phone calls and cleaning, , sleeping and driving, shopping and brushing my teeth… Chasing time.

All musicians long for a big audience and the perfect sound. We love to preform and feel the magic when the songs come out perfectly and the response from the crowd is loud… Of course that’s awesome moments in life… But we can’t always be there. Some of us will never be. Some of us long for tis forever and others want even more after one of those moments. Most of us are always looking for more and can’t stay satisfied. It’s good I some ways but can also make us loose the passion for music. When I was younger I always wanted more, bigger stages, more gigs, more money, better sound, bigger audience …. That made me quit playing for ten years. I was never satisfied.

Today I can find happiness in just a phrase I sing perfectly or creating a new interesting riff. I can feel the pleasure in rehearsals as well as on stage or in the studio. It’s the music that matters, it’s the music I love. And if I treat the music with love and respect it will love me back. I try to give the best I have to every note and that’s a challenge. This makes even the easiest song an interesting project. I feel happiness and pleasure every time I create music, alone or with others. I wish I could share that feeling. I wish I could do it more often. Because I love it…

finally I bought digital drums. Need them for recording and rehearsals. Thought it was easy to play….

Great respect to all drummers out there… My body is not made for drumming. I need a lot of practice before my arms and legs obey my brain… It’s fun though… I realize I need to start with something easier than “Maybe I’m a Leo”.

Today I’m tired but happy. Yesterday I played with the ladies at P.S.B and it was magic. So many old and new friends showed up to celebrate the reunion of the band Krakel Zpektakel. It was 30 years ago we gave up the band and went separate ways. The ladies didn’t play their instruments since we broke up and I’m amazed how quick they are back. We performed six songs from the eighties and one new. No covers. We rearranged two of them and I’m very pleased with the result.

Yesterday was a magic night and I’m so happy for the reunion.

Terrible back pain!

The show must go on!

Rehearsals with the ladies today.

Never boring, The rehearsal studio was ful of laughter and creative ideas. We made changes and tried new ways of playing the songs and we all came up with new things and the result is better than ever! We only play our own music and we make changes in the arrangements, lyrics and melodies as we want. Thats freedom!  I have to say I’m impressed of the ladies who haven’t played at all for so many years. Krakel Zpektakel is now back on track!

On Saturday we’ll start new recordings and  5/9 we play live at Pet Sounds bar. 6pm for invited guests and later in the evening the place is open to the public.
