The studio is open again
After so many weeks I finally found time to start a new project. I now realize how much I missed creating music…
Last wednesday I visited a streetmusic festival called Orsayran and played among many talanted musicians all night. That was awesome.
Today Lokalbefolkningen finished the recordings of the third song for the demo. It allready sounds incredible nice and I look forward to the final mix.
And… Its still and cold here in Stockholm… The summer never reached us this year…

Party’s over
I had a great party in my garden last Saturday. About 40 guests dressed in their best clothes inspired from the 70ies, celebrated my birthday. Many of my friends are musicians so we jammed all night. I had so much fun and I think the guests had to… Thanks to all of you who came, and to you who couldn’t join – we’ll have to find another way to celebrate… I’ll never forget this evening!
Special thanks to my mother, daughters, my sister and Chritoffer who made this party possible! It was awesome!

Recordings
Today Lokalbefolkningen started new recordings. The plan is three songs. First out is a hit we gave a total makeover… My opinion is that this is the way it should been played… Rickard nailed the drums directly and Jaak And Patrick kept up the high standard with bass and guitar. I recorded two guitars, lead vocals and choirs. When I left the studio the guitarsolo was almost there. All this in three hours! Which song…? No, I’ll keep that as a secret until it’s ready! But I tell you, it’s worth waiting for!

Vacation?
Thougt I’d have time for creating new music but I’m more busy now than ever… At last I have time for my house and garden and there’s a lot to take care of… While painting and cutting trees I’m collecting ideas for the next song, planning for a masterpiece.
Tomorrow the summer will come to Stockholm.

A feast in the castle
A feast in the castle is nothing for me…
I rather play with Lokalbefolkningen at Eddys.
And that’s what I did yesterday while the prince married the princess.
After the break Pär Enqvist band playe a couple of songs from the upcomming album and Ari Tikka was our guest behind the drums in Maybe I’m a Leo. A great night!

Playing the piano
Sat down for a while by the piano and tried to remeber some of the songs I created for the ladies back in the eighties. And they were there, somewhere back in my mind, safely saved. Even the lyrics were there. Some of the songs are actually really good, and some of them really complicated. I like them all. It’s great to play with the Girls again.
I miss No Jive. We met this weekend and had a party at a restaurant. Great fun!
It’s very quiet in the studio. This time of year I work day and night but soon I’ll have a long vacation.
Saturday 13/6 I play with Lokalbefolkningen at Eddys bar again. We have many new awesome songs on the list. Today I ordered a new stage outfit…

Victory
The Eurovision song contest has always been an important event for me.
Since I was a child I’ve enjoyd the show every year. Yesterday Måns Zelmerlöv compeeded for Sweden. I liked the song “Heroes” from the beginning and the show was awesome. When the resaults were presented it was really exciting. After united kingdoms points Måns took the lead and we realised he was going to win! There were cheers and applause in my living room and we toasted in chapagne. Well done Måns! You’re woth it!
In the rehearsalstudio today it was a totally different sound. Rough and loud we played and two more songs are now added to the list. With Lokalbefolkningen everything’s possible!
Sometimes I get the question “what do you like best, gigs or recordings? ” I enjoy all parts of creating music. The gigs, working in the studio and the rehearsals. They’re all parts in life.
