Last Saturday I played with Lokalbefolkningen at the local bar in Orminge. Once again we delivered and the responce from the audience was awesome. I was surprised about the number of people who showed up, after all it’s in the middle of the summer… Thanks to all of you, friends and fans, who helped us make this night magic! Let’s do it again soon.

Met the members of Krakel Zpektakel yesterday. After a glass of wine the drummer Kattis, presented the new lyrics… She gave it to me to create the music… I can feel the high expectations… She asked for a heavy rock song and I have to think outside Asatron and dig in the Krakel Zpektakel mud. I hope I can find a treasure there… It’s an assignment of honor!

Found a song in my computer I forgot about.
Realized I like it very much.
Decided to record it properly.
Kept the bass but the rest is new.
It’s about love when it goes to extremes. The warm feeling of happiness verses the chill of hate…
In fact I find the opposites very close.
In this new version I call the song House of cards, which is a symbol of how fragile love is…
It’s almost ready and today I turned my kitchen into a photo studio to create the art work for the release.
I actually built a house of cards…
…and it was fragile…

That’s what I call rock! The music compound “Ormen” celebrated 35 years yesterday. Five bands on stage. Edgar Quartet, Swordflames, PMP, Bodies and last Lokalbefolkningen. I’m impressed about the quality and how the musicians delivered energy. Among these musicians I was the only woman. I wonder why. When I passed the bar I got a big surprise. The drummer and bass player from my old female band Krakel Zpektakel showed up to listen to us. That made me really happy and at the after party we had serious discussions about putting the band together again. Maybe next year there will be more women on that stage… Lokalbefolkningen did a great gig again and I’m proud of being a member in this band. We started with Bimbo witch is very rough in our version. We only played uptempo songs this time and it was very hot on stage. I had a great time and the audience called for two extra songs. When I came home at four o’clock it was daylight and the birds had their own rockparty among the trees. I love these early mornings…

After the rehearsals today we are ready for the next gig. On Saturday I play with Lokalbefolkningen at boo folkets hus. We are the last act to enter the stage. Before us you can hear following bands:

Another weekend has past. Yesterday I watched Eurovision song contest. It’s a tradition since I was a child. When I was seven years old I had a cassette recorder and I recorded the music from the Tv speakers. The whole family had to be quiet through the whole show… This year the winner was Conchita Wurst and people are talking about her beard and political stands… I listened to the song and I liked it. A dramatic ballad with suggestive melody, beautifully performed by a great voice.
A new song is almost ready. I recorded the last choirs today and made a first mix. I think it’s close to release. This one is called Hide in the dark.
In the rehearsal studio Lokalbefolkningen preparing for the next gig. Today we picked nine of our favorite songs and gave them some extra polish. The 24/5 they’ll shine at Folkets hus in Orminge when the music compound, we belong to, celebrates 35 years. It’s also a big festival / carnival in the neighborhood that day. Five bands are playing and we’re the final act. We’re planning to kick some asses with our roughest covers…
