There are strange things going on in my studio…
Interesting.
Discovering new sounds. I like it there in my studio.
Where I can record what’s in my head…

I’d love to play live as Asatron. We tried some of my songs with No Jive but it takes a lot of time to nail the arrangements as I want them. And I think that a cover band should play covers. Sometimes I try to play my songs unplugged and it works pretty well. Think I’ll do some unplugged recordings, just for fun. Sometimes I’m asked to play live but haven’t done it yet. I don’t have the time to put another band together.
Yesterday I got an offer from Indiana. I said no… To far away.
The 17th I play covers at a private party and the last of November I play public at Grisslinge bar. The 1/12 I play and jam with the new band at a musicians party and in January it’s time again for covers in the archipelago of Stockholm.
I love live performances, the stage and the audience…

I think it’s ready now…
I’ve worked with this song for a couple of weeks and I think I’m satisfied now.
To be sure I’ll wait with the release until tomorrow.
You can pre listen here…
I call this one “Lock me up” and the art work is a part of the song.

It’s a long intro, I know, but that’s the way I like it.
If you want to leave a comment, don’t hesitate.
There’s still time for changes.

Planned to work in the studio today but I had to finish the article I’m writing about using Youtube in education. I didn’t know there was so many rules to follow to get a c.essay published. Fonts, size, references, quotes etc. rules about everything. In my studio there’s no rules. I just try to catch every idea that comes up before it flies away… I like that way better. But I had to finish the 15 pages of text, they actually paid my studio…

Working hard everywhere.. And with everything. I never watch tv anymore. Teacher, songwriter, student, member in two bands… And then all the other things i like to do… I never rest… Resting is boring!
I’m exited about the song I’m recording. A mix between 3/4 and 4/4. A mix between soft and hard. I like it a lot already.

I got surprised when I opened my mailbox today. There was an envelope including the album of Bus Stop Dreams and a note that told me I was playing the triangle…
I hope that wasn’t the reason why I got the album…. I never visited the recording sessions and I don’t even know in which track the triangle is heard…
I worked with Lasse Thomasson a couple of years ago and we recorded an album with Strangers in Wonderland. Maybe some sound from that era is used in this new album of Bus stop dreams…
However, I followed Bus stop dreams through the process of making this album from a distance, and I’ve heard most of the songs already. This is great work. I also agree with the band that a CD is a special thing. To hold the music in the hands and to turn the pages and read the lyrics in the booklet gives me the feeling that it’s for real… a digital track can never bring that feeling.
My favorite track on this album is “The kiss”. It’s a beautiful piece of art and Jan Johansens’ voice is perfect for the song. I love it!
The artwork is interesting and a bit scary I think. I don’t know if I like it or not and I think that’s genius. I feel the same way about the track “Come together” I don’t know …
I hope I received the album because I’m still a friend and have great respect for these musicians and songwriters. I also know Lasse as one of the greatest producers.
Now I wish Bus Stop Dreams the best luck with the album and thank you for sending me a copy. And… Yes, I’m honored and a bit jealous. To work alone isn’t always a good thing…
If you’ll perform live and need someone playing the triangle… You know what to do!

I never took guitar lessons. I just bought a guitar when I was 16 and started to play. A friend of mine tried once to tech me some riffs but I can’t play things people tell me to play,
I have to find my own ways… That’s how I am… I went to a vocal coach three times but the same result… I like to try new ways of singing, not learn to sound like someone else. When I was young I went to piano class. That’s not a good idea because I never did my homework, I created my own melodies and the teacher went disappointed when I couldn’t play the pieces she chose for me… I spent six years in a music school which made me sing in the choir.

I was pretty good at that and got a job in the Swedish radio choir for one year. The problem was that I couldn’t, and still can’t read music. It was a little problem when we performed a modern requiem. So how did I manage that? I remember…
And I have perfect pitch…
When it comes to creating music I just improvise. I’ve never read anything about music theory or composing and I never read anything about recording or mixing. I’m curious and not afraid to try and push unknown buttons. Of course it takes longer time that way and many mistakes are made, but I enjoy every minute in the studio and maybe someday my music will sound like the professionals’…
When it comes to music I’m autodidact.
When it comes to teaching, I studied a lot and still do…
Sometimes I wonder how it would be if it was the other way round, if I was an autodidact teacher and a trained musician…

I tried to change my name on Fandalism from Åsa to Asatron but it seems impossible…
However, I’m very happy for all the views, props and nice comments. The song “Seven deadly sins” has only been official for 22 hours and I’ve already got so much positive feedback. I’m touched. It means a lot to me. Thank you.
