KrakelZpektakel / Asatron

Spent a lot of time in the studio recording an old song from the female band Krakel Zpektakel.

I played in that band back in the eighties. I recorded it from the memory, it’s only available on cassette tapes and I haven’t got a player for that… When I started I thought it should be a piece  of cake but hell no… To create the sound I had in my head I spent many hours testing and mixing… Tonight I sent mp3’s to the girls for feedback. If they like it I’ll publish it but I’m not sure it’ll be an ASATRON track… It’s in swedish and Asatron never released something in swedish before… I think I’ll publish it as a Krakel Zpektakel / Asatron song… But first I need permission from the band…

By the way… Krakel Zpektakel is planning to start rehearsal again, after all these years… That’s awesome !

ashamed

I should be ashamed of myself…

I have to apologize for missing the comments.

I have nothing to say but –  I’m sorry!

Now I’ve read all the comments and responded to them. I promise to do better in future.

 

In the studio I have a project going on with many, many guitar tracks…

This weekend I’ll start the mixing process.

On Saturday I play with Lokalbefolkningen at Myrsjöfestivalen.

It’s going to be awesome!

Recovering

I’m slowly recovering from the backache. I’ve been treated with dry needling and pills. Feel much better !
This weekend I met the girls from the ancient band Krakel Zpektakel. We had a crayfish party and after a couple of drinks we decided to try to play together again. We have a lot of awsome songs from the past and it’s a pity to let them sink into oblivion.
Today was rehearsal day with Lokalbefolkningen. Two gigs booked, the 5th and 6th of September. The first one is a private party and the second a local festival, Myrsjöfestivalen.
Next week I’ll play with No Jive again after summer vacation.
In the studio I have a heavy project going on but I need some more inspiration….

I love these early mornings…

That’s what I call rock! The music compound “Ormen” celebrated 35 years yesterday. Five bands on stage. Edgar Quartet, Swordflames, PMP, Bodies and last Lokalbefolkningen. I’m impressed about the quality and  how the musicians delivered energy. Among these musicians I was the only woman. I wonder why. When I passed the bar I got a big surprise. The drummer and bass player from my old female band Krakel Zpektakel showed up to listen to us. That made me really happy and at the after party we had serious discussions about putting the band together again.  Maybe next year there will be more women on that stage… Lokalbefolkningen did a great gig again and I’m proud of being a member in this band. We started with Bimbo witch is very rough in our version. We only played uptempo songs this time and it was very hot on stage. I had a great time and the audience called for two extra songs. When I came home at four o’clock it was daylight and the birds had their own rockparty among the trees. I love these early mornings…IMGP4855IMGP4864bIMGP4863

Between Saturday and Sunday

After the rehearsals today we are ready for the next gig. On Saturday I play with Lokalbefolkningen at boo folkets hus. We are the last act to enter the stage. Before us you can hear following bands:
Edgar Quartet
Swordflames
PMP
Bodies
All bands have a connection to Orminge. I overheard some of the rehearsals and this will be an awesome night.
Doors are open from 20.00
We’ll play around midnight.

This one I call Hide in the dark. It came to me two weeks ago and I captured it!

From the start i was almost five minutes long but I killed many darlings…

I got use for my seven stringed again.

The sweet lost lady…

So, what’s going on?

work.work, work… And rehearsals with No Jive. It was a long time ago but the new material sounded awesome.

Caught a cold and slept for 36 hours, fever and terrible headache.

working on a new song… Nothing unusual, but I like the sound and the beat…

Got inspiration from a relative who has trouble remembering things.. I wonder if it’s scary or nice…

The other day I walked on the streets of Stockholm when an old lady stopped me and asked if I could help her.

– I hope so, I said.

Then she told me she was on her way to visit a friend and asked me if I could show her the way. I asked her which street she was searching for and she said:

-That’s the problem, I don’t remember the name of the street… It’s just three or four letters and one of then is o…

– Bondegatan? It’s just there, I said and pionted. amn

She said no, and smiled. I asked her if we could call someone for help but she said that she couldn’t remember any numbers… I tried to find a way to help her but then she said thank you and wanted to try to recognize the streets name by walking around…

-I’m a little confused you know, she said and smiled again.

-Maybe I’ll remember the name if I see it… And she went away..

She was so sweet and I wonder if she reached the right street.

Some kind of magic

What a band!
We rocked again.
When we enter the stage something happens…
I don’t know what, but it seems like the four of us are the perfect match…
Playing in this band is an awesome experience.
Yesterday we played at Eddys bar, just around the corner from the rehearsal studio, and I was surprised again…. We are really good!
